In February, Kathy and I went to see the Newsboys “Join the Tribe Tour” in Woodbridge, VA.  A trusted friend in the music industry told Kathy and I that the Newsboys were going to be making a personnel change and Peter Furler would be leaving the Newsboys.  When my friend told me that the new lead singer was going to be Michael Tait (formerly of DC Talk) my jaw hit the floor.  Kathy and I couldn’t believe it.  Of course I trusted my friend, but I just couldn’t wrap my brain around Michael Tait, someone that was born in Washington, DC, being the lead singer of a band from Australia.

Well, now the news of Michael Tait taking the reigns of the Newsboys is making the rounds of  several discussion groups, including one at Newsboys.com and on Facebook as well as Twitter.  I even saw it updated on Wikipedia already!
