Arlington National Cemetery Photowalk September 22, 2009 at 9:45 pm

Last Saturday, I went to Arlington National Cemetery with a few other photographers from the DC Area.  Prior to this past weekend, I don’t think I have been to ANC in at least 20 years.  A lot has changed since I’ve been there, yet, everything still seemed very familiar to me.  Of course, the Pentagon Memorial wasn’t there last time I was there and neither was the Space Shuttle Challenger Memorial.

Our first stop was The Tomb of the Unknowns:

I chose not to take photos during the Changing of the Guard, mainly because the Sergeant of the Guard had just announced that everyone should remain silent and standing.

The Arlington Memorial Amphitheater:

As we were walking around the Cemetery, I saw a head stone that someone recently visited:

  1. You & I were there with your dad about 12 years ago.

  2. Were we really? Okay, I guess I didn’t recall that. I think that we should all go as a family. I think Nathanael can benefit from a field trip. :)
